Applying for Employment Insurance
Below are the instructions received from
the Union hall.
All applicants must file in 1 of 2 ways
1. Go to an E.I. Centre and file in person
2. File online by clicking
here. Read and follow the instructions CAREFULLY!

IMPORTANT NOTES

All members must declare S.U.B. when filing for E.I.

The Approx amount is $365 per week.
•-•
A R.O.E. (record of emloyment) is required to complete filing
•-•
Employee members MUST SEND all their E.I. Statements (by fax) to
their
company to receive S.U.B.
•-•
Payroll designates S.U.B. , immediately upon receipt.
•-•
Members MUST INFORM (HRDC) Employment Insurance that they MUST
HAVE A PRINTED BENEFIT STATEMENT every
2 weeks in order to
claim for S.U.B. from the employer.

*DO NOT ALLOW* any E.I officer to do anything different.
